Training Needs and Analysis

We will discuss with you in detail the current and future aims of the organisation and what skills will be required from your workforce. When all of this information is complete we will then assess each relevant employees skills and ambitions which will highlight any gaps that need attention.  A full report of our results will then be produced that will identify any areas of skill shortages along with a solution based action plan to resolve those concerns.

 

HR Systems and Policies

In this economic climate many small businesses do not have the luxury of being able to afford an HR representative or department. If you employ staff it is very important that you ensure that you have all relevant policies and procedures in place to avoid breaking the law and risking the inconvenience of Industrial Tribunals and other legal issues. We can work with you to review your current policies and procedures and help and advise you on any updates or changes required. Alternatively, if you do not have any policies currently in place we can instigate them for you and either train your existing staff to manage them or we can manage them for you on an ongoing basis at very little cost. 

 

Appraisals and Disciplines

Staff Appraisals are one of those things that the majority of managers dread as they take up so much time both in the  preparation and conducting of  them. Unfortunately, even though they can be conducted at regular interviews quite often managers within an organisation are not consistent in their assessments and that can cause issues of discrimination, victimisation,and much more if not handled correctly. Or perhaps if you are a smaller organisation you have never conducted any formal appraisals and don't know what is involved. At Business Goal Achievers we can offer training for your managers to ensure that the proper procedures are being followed in reference to your organisational criteria saving you time and less stress resolving issues when they go wrong. Alternatively, particularly if you have never instigated appraisals we can either conduct appraisals with you or following detailed discussions with you can set up appraisal systems for you and train you how to manage them. What about disciplines? Are you confident in the ability of your staff to conduct disciplines in an effective manner without aggravating the issue? Do you have disciplinary procedures and guidelines available for managers to follow and are you sure they are being followed properly? We can review your current procedures and investigate if staff are following your organisational guidelines. We can also advise and/or train your staff to ensure they are all very aware of the importance of conducting disciplinary meetings correctly to avoid escalating issues that could result in legal action being taken. We also set up procedures and guidelines for companies that do not currently have any policies in place to cover disciplinary issues.

 

Employment Legislation

Are you up to date with the latest employment legislation issues? Do you use contract/temporary staff and if so are you fully aware of the new Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) that are due to become effective in October 2011. If not Business Goal Achievers can help you gain a good basic understanding of your responsibilities and what you should be doing now to avoid breaking the law or leaving yourself open to litigation. If  it becomes apparent in our discussions that a more detailed knowledge and assistance is required we can arrange for one of our Employment Law Associates to contact you.

 

Recruitment Campaigns

Need to run a recruitment campaign either on a local or national basis? Need help but don't want to use an agency?
